For over a decade, Vector Lighting have been responsible for the illumination of Harvey Nichols' enticing window displays across the UK and Ireland. Designed by Andy Slevin, the bespoke lighting schemes are created in close partnership with Nichols' in-house display team.
The flagship store (pictured) located in Knightsbridge, is a popular destination for London's tourists and is revered in the retail industry across the world. Changing with the seasons, the stylish window displays and frontages have been known to literally stop passers by in their stride. And at night is when things really get interesting as the full effect of the lighting scheme becomes apparent.
The windows have gained press and TV coverage including an appearance on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing when Sophie Ellis Bextor & Brendan Cole practiced their performance to Madonna hit Material Girl whereby Sophie had to spend a moment perfectly still – Brendan persuaded her to practise by standing in the window of the store pretending to be a mannequin.
